Wednesday’s Shoe

This Wednesday’s Shoe is also in “Reagan red,” just like our Look-of-the-Day.  These pointy-toe, patent leather, Venetian red stilettos have a 5 and 1/4 inch heel!  They’re made by The Highest Heel (quite an apropos name), and are called “The Hottie” (we can’t imagine why…)  You can also find them on Amazon, where they sell between $39.99 and $60.10.

Look-of-the-Day

Whether you like her or not, Nancy Reagan was a trendsetter in her own right.  Today is the 30th Anniversary of the assassination attempt on her husband, President Reagan, so we chose his beloved wife for our Look-of-the-Day.  Here, Nancy is sporting her favorite color, RED.  (Fun Fact: She wore it so often that the bright hue was eventually named “Reagan red.”)  Nancy’s affinity for the color also made red suits appropriate in the workplace, according to Dress for Success author John T. Molloy.  This apple-red gown, matching heels and pearl choker make up the outfit she wore for her Official White House Portrait (pictured right).  “Just Say No” to drugs, but say yes to Reagan red!
