In celebration of Suri Cruise, it only makes sense we feature a pair of her infamous high heels. She wore these adorable silver T-strap peep-toe heels while her mother, Katie Holmes, was filming The Romantics on Long Island. The shoes are called “Marina Girls” from the dancing company Freed of London. They cost $72.00 and come sizes children’s 7 to an adult 5. Probably best only to dress up and dance in, but of course, they still look cute!

“I’ve never worn high heels and can’t get used to essentially wobbling around on the balls of my feet. But Effie runs around in them full-time, and I’m determined that if she can do it, so can I.“ Throughout The Hunger Games, Effie Trinket is always running around, making plans and sticking to schedules in her various pairs of high heels. Costume designer Judianna Makovsky picked out some great selections for Effie’s onscreen presence, including these futuristic “Gold Faithful” peep-toe stiletto booties by Alexander McQueen, who served as one of Makovsky’s fashion inspirations for the film. Originally priced around $1,200 (yikes – no wonder they’re meant for the opulent and indulgent people of the Capitol), they are now available on several online outlets for a lower price.

This “Wednesday’s Shoe” is appropriately emerald green, in honor of the Emerald Isle! This St. Patrick’s Day, you can look like one classy colleen in these babies! Made by Christian Louboutin (if you hadn’t already figured that out by the red sole) these beautiful shoes are called “Volpi 150″ heels. They are made of satin and have crisscrossed fabric that creates a peep-toe. Originally $700, you can find them at several online outlets for around $150-$170. If you don’t want to invest in these kind of shoes for St. Patty’s Day, you can order some adorable shamrock chocolate heels instead!

How serendipitous that the outfit we featured on “Look-of-the-Day” today from a movie called Leap Year would have both pink clothing and a great shoe to feature! This heel is worn by Amy Adams’ character in the film. These tan leather peep-toe pumps are Christian Louboutin and called “City 120 Platform Sandals.” They have a 4.5 inch heel and stitched paneling. They now retail at $492 on Net-A-Porter. Maybe they’ll bring you the luck of the Irish, too!

“There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home,” Dorothy Gale says to herself, while clicking her heels in The Wizard of Oz. Her ruby red slippers are probably the most famous pair of shoes to ever appear onscreen, and have remained a cultural icon for over 70 years. MGM’s chief costumer at the time was Adrian, who designed the magical pumps for the film. There was no Academy Award for Costume Design in 1939, but we imagine it would have been an interesting competition between Adrian and Walter Plunkett for Gone With the Wind! (Fun Fact: In L. Frank Baum’s original book, Dorothy’s shoes are actually silver, to symbolize the silver standard of the American monetary system.) Our editors loved the ruby slippers so much, when one was gifted a plastic pair for Christmas as a child, the other got pretty indignant until she got a matching set… We were extremely excited to see the real pair when we visited the Smithsonian in 1996, but they were visiting a different museum at the time! We finally got to see the real ruby slippers 15 years later (pictured, below) when one of our editors was living outside Washington, D.C. last year. Oddly enough, these magical slippers are still making news! Leonardo DiCaprio is currently looking to purchase one of the four remaining pairs for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. At least one pair will make it back to its home in Hollywood!

Looking for some sweet shoes this Valentine’s Day? These black suede pumps are called Heart Pointed Court Shoes from GIGGLES, and used to be carried at TopShop for $116. They are covered in bronze glitter hearts and have a 4.5″ heel. With a sophisticated shape and a whimsical design, these shoes are the perfect pairing of young and old. They’ll be sure to make your Valentine swoon! (Or make him think you go shopping with your 5-year-old niece! <3)

Today the former teen queen of MTV’s Laguna Beach, Lauren Conrad, turns 26, and with two television shows, a couple of books and a clothing line at Kohl’s already under her belt, she – well… she just makes the rest of us feel like a bunch of losers! Hehe. But we thought since she’s now producing discount clothing, we’d take a look and see if any of her shoes were worth featuring. These black platform pumps are available on the Kohl’s website for $59.99 (which is definitely more than we would spend on shoes made of only man-made materials), but the customer reviews on the site were very positive. Most of the women said the shoe was very comfortable, and 87% of them would recommend it to a friend. The material might be as fake as The Hills, but in reality, they’re apparently awesome!

Looking for a way to dress up your little black dress for a holiday party? Well these candy cane striped peep-toe pumps are certainly a fun accessory for the season without going over the top! They have a 4 inch heel and can be purchased at SusansShoes.com. They cost $34.00 and come in sizes 6 to 10. We like to think Mrs. Claus wears these to cheer Santa up after a long night of work on December 24th!

At first glance, these Brian Atwood heels look like the opposite of the classic red undercarriage of Christian Louboutins (red on the outside of the
heel?!), but they’re actually black velvet platform pumps adorned with a red satin Christmas bow going up the back of the shoe! The “Donna” pumps are from Atwood’s 2010 Fall/Winter Collection, but we still love them one year later! These heels are perfect for the holiday season, using traditional yuletide elements without losing Atwood’s stylish signature or modern appeal. On the left, they’re pictured on Selena Gomez, offering a lovely view of the shoe from behind. They say good things come in small packages, and in these babies, you’ll be all wrapped up and tied with a bow!

In keeping with the 70th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor, this “Wednesday’s Shoe” is a nautical-themed peep-toe pump we certainly could picture Kate Beckinsale wearing as Navy nurse Evelyn Johnson. We found them on LingerieGifts.com. The polka-dot lined sailor heels have an anchor on the back and retail at $58.99. Although visiting the actual memorial would probably be a far more noble use of the money… Always remember “A date that will live in infamy.” RIP USS Arizona.
