Wednesday’s Shoe

In honor of Jessica Simpson finally admitting that she’s carrying her 1st child (instead of an extra 10 pounds in her uterus…) with fiancé Eric Johnson, we’re featuring one of the many adorable pumps her fashion line has to offer.  This sophisticated tribute to color-blocking is called “Pleasance.”  The peep-toe platform pump has a 5.25 inch heel and retails at $98.00.  It’s no surprise, with the many cute things her company has to offer, that she’s well on her way to becoming a billionaire.  Here’s hoping she has a baby girl, so she can put out a fun children’s line, too!

While a pair of basic black pumps would have seemed like the obvious go-to choice for a week dedicated to Breakfast at Tiffany’s, we wanted to choose a shoe that was inspired by the actual movie – and we found it!  Here are the “At Tiffany’s” pumps by Hey Lady.  These pair of scalloped heels are inspired by Audrey Hepburn herself and are colored (what else?) but Tiffany’s blue!  Designed by the Leung Twins, sisters Emily and Jessica describe their fashion evolution on their website from chunky Mary Janes to “skinny stilettos!”  Girls after our own hearts!  The 3 inch heels cost $340 and can be purchased here on Hey Lady’s site.

We’ve featured two pairs of Kate Middleton-inspired footwear for the last two weeks, so it makes sense to round out the trend with her wedding shoes.  The new princess wore custom-made Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton lace heels to match her gown by the same designer.  According to the royal website, the nude stilettos were covered in “ivory duchesse satin with lace hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework.”  Net-a-Porter is exclusively offering similar McQueen pumps to those interested in copycatting.  The round-toed pumps are 4.5 inches high and retail for $995.
