Our favorite Hollywood couple – well, not exactly… Neither are actors, so not exactly a Hollywood couple, but definitely our favorite celebrity couple looked gorgeous, as always, at the Vanity Fair Oscars party last night.  Victoria Beckham looked glamorous in one of her own creations – a belted gray strapless gown from her Fall Collection, a large emerald cocktail ring, dark nails and the sexiest accessory ever – David Beckham in Dior!  Posh Spice posted a home picture of her getting ready on Twitter before the event in her own bathroom (which includes some sexy black and white photos of her husband on the right!)

Wednesday’s Shoe

This “Wednesday’s Shoe” was created by shoe connoisseur Brian Atwood.  These baby pink satin Maniac stilettos are from his Fall/Winter 2011 Collection.  We nailed a hattrick with these babies today, being featured in our “Look-of-the-Day,” our shoe-of-the-day, and they are pink for “Pink Wednesday!”  Below you can see Eva Longoria looking anything but a maniac in Atwood’s perfect complement to her dress by pal Victoria Beckham.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Wednesday’s homage to the color pink, we’re featuring Eva Longoria’s beautiful, pastel hued outfit for both “Look-of-the-Day” and for “Wednesday’s Shoe!”  Longoria is good friends with designer genius, Victoria Beckham, so naturally she has been seen wearing her friend’s fabulous frocks!  Beckham personally styled her friend when Longoria promoted her cookbook back in April.  The dress is from Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2011 Collection and is perfectly paired with a pair of Brian Atwood’s satin Maniac stilettos.  Longoria’s look is nicely balanced between her dark, luscious locks and smokey eyes, against the soft, subtle palette of the simple, yet striking gam revealer!  Move over Rachel Zoe, Beckham does it all, and apparently styling comes perfectly natural!

For this Tuesday Twosome, we are featuring our favorite living, fashion icon, who else but Victoria Beckham, and one of her adorable sons, second-born, Romeo James.  As Posh looks just-so, her partner-in-style keeps up and in stride with his fashion-forward mum.  The two of them make quite the statement in their business-savvy attire, Victoria in her smart, silhouetted, pencil skirt and button-down dress shirt, and Romeo in his perfect pinstripes, boyishly tousled waves, and those darling dimples.  Romeo resembles his mother the most out of his siblings and we’re sure he inherited those features from his lovely leading lady… if only she smiled more for the camera!  We cannot wait to see what modeling gigs this kid gets when he’s older; so far he’s the biggest clothes horse out of the expanding, British brood, but we’ll just have to wait and see what little Harper Seven brings to the table when she’s old enough to wear heels.  For now, Romeo does just fine holding his own on the red (sometimes caramel-colored) carpet!

What better color to wear to celebrate a brand new baby girl than bright PINK?!  Our favorite fashionista Victoria Beckham gave birth to her first daughter on Sunday named Harper Seven.  To honor the baby who will inherit the best hand-me-downs in history, we’ve picked another fabulous pink outfit of Victoria’s.  This Antonio Berardi dress is from his 2009 Spring Collection and Victoria accessorized it beautifully with a Chanel clutch and pointy toe black stiletto pumps.  Hopefully Harper will inspire Mrs. Beckham to create a children’s line… how posh would that be?!  Congrats to the happy couple!

“On Wednesdays we wear pink!” Karen of Mean Girls proclaims to the newest member of her clique.  Okay, we can buy into that… we just picked this dress because we love it, but considering pink is this editor’s second favorite color (can you tell black is #1?), we decided to make every Wednesday “Look-of-the-Day” a pink outfit for as long as we can.  Which will be interesting, because our co-editor tends to loathe the color…  Here, at husband David’s official signing with the LA Galaxy soccer team, Victoria Beckham is wearing a bright pink Roland Mouret “Moon” dress with a matching ostrich Hermes Birkin bag, accessorized with a pair of pointed-toe black pumps and her signature large shades.  She would do The Plastics proud, except this girl isn’t a mean one – she’s a Spicy one!

This photo of Posh and her youngest son, Cruz, is particularly special to our editors, because we had literally just MISSED them (or they missed us) at Dylan’s Candy Bar in Manhattan when this picture was taken in February 2008.  Our editors were back home on Long Island for the Spice Girls reunion concert, and had taken one of our visiting college friends into the city to do a little shopping, eating and sightseeing.  Before getting lunch at Serendipity’s, we killed time tasting and buying treats at Ralph Lauren’s daughter, Dylan’s, famous candy shop.  Apparently, Victoria Beckham was also in town (obviously, for the concert), and took Cruz there to get a small gumball machine within hours of us being there, and we missed her!!!  Very unfortunate.  Nevertheless, the Beckhams looked cute as always – Posh in a great reddish tweed pencil skirt, navy blue v-neck sweater, a fantastic red, white and blue patterned scarf and adorable scarlet stilettos (with her signature big black sunglasses).  Cruz looks like quite a trendsetter himself – he’s got on baby jeans, a military sweater, an over-sized necktie and some rocking Harry Potter outerwear.

We could have just dedicated this whole week to Victoria Beckham and her boys, because they always look cute!  Here, Posh is wearing a bright yellow Goat Kendall sundress in the south of France, looking like a great complement to son, Romeo’s, bright orange Ralph Lauren polo.  She accessorized her look with platform nude stilettos and a Hermes Himalayan crocodile Birkin 35 handbag.  (Although, Romeo’s cute little stuffed lamb makes a nice accessory, too!).  This mom-and-son pair look fantastic for summer fun in the sun!

Mommy Spice

“She used to be my only enemy and never let me be free/Catching me in places that I knew I shouldn’t be/Every other day I crossed the line I didn’t mean to be so bad/I never thought you would become the friend I never had,” the Spice Girls sang in their hit song “Mama” nearly 15 years ago.  Now, the Spice Women are all mums themselves!  It seems like yesterday we were bopping around to their pop songs, and now they’ve all got kiddies of their own!  On Mother’s Day, we discussed how babies are the newest celebrity accessory (hell, there’s a baby section of People magazine…), and who our favorite Hollywood moms were (including Posh, of course), so why shouldn’t we discuss our favorite pop-stars of our childhood, too?  Especially when they’ve got quite a few “baby spices” themselves!  Here are the Spice Mamas, in order of their appearance on their original album cover, because that’s how we’ll always remember them:

1. Posh Spice (Victoria Adams Beckham): She was only 24 when she had her first son, Brooklyn Joseph, with famous husband, David Beckham, in 1999.  She went on to have two other sons, Romeo James and Cruz David, and is due with her first daughter this summer.  (Fun Fact: Upon hearing his new sibling was going to be a girl, Romeo asked to name the new baby “Justine Beiber Beckham.”)

2. Baby Spice (Emma Bunton): Baby Spice lives up to her name, seeing as she just gave birth four days ago to her second child, Tate, with boyfriend of 11 years, Jade Jones.  She is also mum to Beau Lee Jones.

3. Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm): She is mum to a baby with the same initials as her alter-ego, Scarlet Starr!  Chisholm has been dating the baby’s father since 2002.

4. Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell): Ginger was definitely one to stand out, so it’s not surprise her daughter has the most unusual name of the bunch – Bluebell Madonna Halliwell.  Geri explained whys she gave her the unique moniker, “What really clinched it for me was my mother telling me that the bluebell is increasingly rare – so it’s a precious flower, which seems just right for my daughter.”  Bluebell’s middle name is for both the pop-star and the virgin by the same name.  The top photo shows four of the Spice Girls at her christening (Fun Fact: Beckham and Bunton are Bluebell’s godmothers!)

5. Scary Spice (Melanie Brown): The first to become a mom, Brown was only 23 when she had her first child, Phoenix Chi (now that’s scary!) with her first husband.  Her second daughter, Iris Angel Murphy Brown, was the center of a very embarrassing paternity case with actor Eddie Murphy, but eventually Scary settled down with long-time friend, Stephen Belafonte.  Something must be in the Spice Girls’ water, because they too, are expecting a baby this summer!  (Fun Fact: Brown and Beckham’s first babies were born only two weeks apart, and both were named for locations special to their parents – Phoenix was the city she was conceived in, while Brooklyn is named for the city his parents were visiting when they found out they were having him!)

To continue our celebration of moms for Mother’s Day, we’re showing mother-and-child combinations all week for “Look-of-the-Day!”  Today’s is none other than our favorite living icon, Victoria Beckham, with her youngest son, Cruz.  Posh looks, well… posh, in her fitted black dress, black Christian Louboutin heels and Giambattista Valli Handbag.  Little Cruz looks adorable in his white Lacoste shirt, jeans and own little rolling luggage!  On their way to (or from) the airport, Posh is dressed the way people used to fly when commercial airlines were first invented – in style!
