With Egypt’s change of government and Elizabeth Taylor’s passing, choosing a look from her 1963 film Cleopatra seemed apropos, if not a little tacky. Oh, well. Taylor has numerous jaw-dropping looks from the epic about the Queen of the Nile, and this happens to be one of our favorites. This low-cut, yellow silk gown and matching white floor-length scarf/cape with gold accessories is certainly a look that could be carried off today during a summer party. (Okay, minus the headdress). That’s also probably because the gorgeous gown is more 1960s than BC-era Egypt…
