Here’s our golden girl, Rachel McAdams, in a plunging, ruched white Emilio Pucci mini-dress and black Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels at the New York premiere of The Time Traveler’s Wife in 2009. Rachel’s porcelain skin looks untouched and flawless with pink accents, complementing her dark, smokey eyes quite nicely. She evokes sexiness and sophistication to the Nth degree, as per usual.

We loved these girls at Halloween, we love that Rachel McAdams is the Queen Bee, and we love that Tina Fey wrote it, so it’s no surprise Mean Girls is on our mind at Christmastime. From left to right, here are Lacey Chabert, McAdams, Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Seyfried performing “Jingle Bell Rock” in their school’s holiday talent show. They may only be high school juniors, but their clothes and moves look closer to a strip club holiday special! (Much to the horror of some of their parents…) The cool clique dons Santa hats, black knee-high boots, long black gloves, red spaghetti-strapped tank-tops adorned with white fur, and shiny skirts to match. Costume designer Mary Jane Fort made the bottoms from red plastic to represent the clique’s nickname, “The Plastics.” They may be mean, and their outfits are so not age-appropriate, but they still look cute for Christmas!
The Family Stone is one of this editor’s all-time favorite films, due to the fact it can make you laugh, cry, laugh and cry again within a matter of minutes. And because the stunning Rachel McAdams plays the feisty baby sister, Amy, who is the silver screen embodiment of my own baby sister. The movie tells the tale of a very close family whose eldest son, Everett, brings home an uptight city girl named Meredith for the holidays, which sets off a series of uncomfortable situations that make everyone start to doubt if Meredith is actually the girl meant for Everett. It pushes the Stones apart, and back together, and they learn what really matters – especially when they start to realize one by one that their time as a tight-knit unit is running out. This poignant scene shows McAdams staring up at the Christmas tree in a very flattering red turtleneck, which has been this editor’s go-to outfit every December 25th since she was about thirteen. This Christmas, our real-life version of Amy Stone will be celebrating the holidays away from home, but you can bet we’ll be breaking out this film, as we often do when we miss her, to be reminded of her passion, silliness and shining personality.
This Halloween trio has a special connection to today’s holiday; Mean Girls was probably the first medium to point out how skimpy Halloween costumes have become for girls these days. Rachel McAdams, as Regina George, is a sexy bunny, Lacey Chabert, as Gretchen Wieners, is a sexy kitten, and Amanda Seyfried, as Karen Smith, is a sexy… mouse? DUH! The costume designer, Mary Jane Fort, did a fantastic job outfitting the girls throughout the film and their Halloween gear was no different. Fort purposely stated that she wanted the girls’ outfits to look like real high school clothing that teenage girls would put together themselves. These high school seniors are certainly the hottest group of cuddly animals we’ve ever seen! (Although if they were our own daughters, it wouldn’t be as cute…) The girls complement one another in matching silver glitter, black pleather, stiletto boots, and fun animal ears. This look will always be memorable though for its matching movie quote! Happy Halloween!
Rachel McAdams – our editors’ favorite actress, environmentalist, “mean girl,” and Canadian (which says A LOT, considering the amount of fantasies they’ve had about Ryan Reynolds, Michael J. Fox, and Ryan Gosling) – looks stunning as always in this January 2010 photo shoot with Mario Testino for Vogue. McAdams certainly makes porcelain skin sexy in this red and black silk floral bodysuit and pencil skirt with matching peep-toe, platform Christian Louboutin slingback stilettos. This true beauty pulls off just about anything, but this has to be one of our all-time favorite photos of our gorgeous green girl!
One of our all-time favorite actresses, Rachel McAdams, always looks good and here she proves she can pull off the hardest color on the red carpet… RED! Rachel looks ravishing in this scarlet Michael Kors halter gown at the Berlin premiere of Morning Glory. The crisscrossed black straps and backless detail give this dress a sexy edge. Sleek and sexy – perfect for a German affair!
“I love Rachel in the Springtime. I love Rachel in the fall…” We’ve stated before that Miss McAdams looks cute in anything, and hot pink turn-of-the-century costumes are no different. Here, Rachel is pictured on set playing Irene Adler in the 2009 Sherlock Holmes. It was the first frock that came to our minds when we saw these beautiful magenta flowers off this dogwood tree. Typically lighter pink or white, dogwoods are the state flower of Virginia, which is home to this editor’s Alma mater. Seeing these stunning buds reminds me that spring is here to stay! Well… until summer arrives.
