Wednesday’s Shoe

In celebration of Suri Cruise, it only makes sense we feature a pair of her infamous high heels.  She wore these adorable silver T-strap peep-toe heels while her mother, Katie Holmes, was filming The Romantics on Long Island.  The shoes are called “Marina Girls” from the dancing company Freed of London.  They cost $72.00 and come sizes children’s 7 to an adult 5.  Probably best only to dress up and dance in, but of course, they still look cute!

Look-of-the-Day

Since Veterans Day happened to fall on a “Fancy Friday,” we thought Katy Perry’s red gown from VH1’s Divas Salute the Troops last year was quite appropriate to feature!  The sexy singer wore a whole lot of provocative military-inspired wear that night, but donned this fancy dress, too!  The strapless, red-sequined gown had a slit that redefines the word “thigh-high” and paired it with long red gloves and matching platform stilettos.  Perry has the perfect hourglass figure to rock 1940s outfits, and this Jessica Rabbit-esque costume is no different.  We’re sure the troops certainly appreciated her singing, and her sexiness!  Happy Veterans Day!

Look-of-the-Day

Sunday is the last day of Comic-Con and the day we present our favorite antiheroine, Catwoman!  Michelle Pfeiffer was just divine as Selina Kyle in Tim Burton’s dark version of her story, Batman Returns.  Here, she is wearing a gorgeous backless black sparkly gown at a masquerade ball when she and Bruce Wayne figure out that while they have great chemistry as everyday citizens, their alter-egos are enemies.  While the sleeves are a little loose and quite reminiscent of the late 1980s and early 1990s, it’s still beautiful and she looks fabulous with her blonde curls swept up and bright red lipstick on!  Too bad she didn’t stick around for the other sequels…

Look-of-the-Day

Is green the new black?  Well, in our opinion, no color will ever be the “new black,” but it seems green has had a big comeback in recent years.  Between Keira Knightley’s stunning gown in Atonement, and new “It Girl” Pippa Middleton’s maid-of-honor dress, it seems like the world’s best-dressed are attracted to the wonderful Land of Oz.  Here, Angelina Jolie is wearing one of the most beautiful gowns seen on the red carpet in recent years.  The vintage long-sleeved Versace gown was covered in crystals, and looked straight out of Hollywood’s Golden Era.  Our editors had an argument over this dress, so much so, we didn’t even do a Golden Globe rundown this year, because we couldn’t stop arguing about this outfit – I find it beautiful; our other editor disagrees.  But, it remains this editor’s favorite gown of 2011.  The Emerald City looks like one glamorous place to visit!

Look-of-the-Day

Today, our favorite icon, Audrey Hepburn, would have turned 82, if she was still alive.  But it also happens to be one of our editors, Courtney’s 24th birthday, so this editor decided to put her up in her most recent Audrey-esque outfit for the “Look-of-the-Day!”  This silk black and white dress was worn by Courtney when she attended a Marine Corps Ball with her husband, Ryan, a couple of months ago.  Courtney accessorized her look with adorable black platform Mary-Jane stilettos, matching bracelets and thick sparkly silver hoop earrings.  Quite glam!

Wednesday’s Shoe

This “Wednesday’s Shoe” is brought to you by Leg Avenue.  One of our editors found it on Babygirl Boutique, and it closely resembles today’s “Look-of-the-Day,” except it’s a burlesque version.  The shoe is a 5″ pink glitter stiletto heel with a black patent leather bow, scallop trim and a 1″ covered platform.  It can be bought on Babygirl Boutique’s website.  (Click on our link to buy!)
